Hawaii Island Home
This home was designed to create a place that brings peace and calm to our client. It will be built in the rolling green hills of Waimea, Hawaii.
The client wants the building to feel as open as the surrounding meadow it will be built on connecting the building to Hawaii’s spectacular natural landscape & vistas.
The requirements for this home were that the main living area and main resting area be divided into two separate buildings but connected by a covered walkway so that the building will feel as though they are one.
The great room which is home to a gorgeous timber frame structure is supported by a vaulted ceiling. This great room combines cooking, dining, and relaxing all into one space with a large ‘Lanai’ (covered porch) off the east side of the great room allowing for expansive views of the surrounding landscape. The 'rest' building; the bedroom offers a stunning outdoor shower that is surrounded by stone allowing the home owner to truly have a refreshing and cleansing experience surrounded by lush rolling hills of Hawaii.
