The Designer is primarily responsible for ensuring that timber frame structures are designed and drafted to meet customer requirements and expectations, as well as, monitoring the production process to ensure ‘Quality Control’ and the high service standard goals of the company are met in the final project/ product. We are looking for a knowledgeable Accounting Manager who can lead and motivate accounting staff and increase department accuracy and efficiency. The Accounting Manager will delegate, supervise, and participate in accounting department tasks, oversee the recording, tracking, and reporting of financial information, HR & payroll. The Technical Sales Associate serves as the central point of coordination between the sales, design, production, and job site teams.

The primary objective of this role will focus on account management and new business development by creating strong and trustworthy partnerships between the company and their clients. Generating new business, supporting existing relationships with General Contractors and Architects, and growing the company’s market share to guarantee industry-leading service. Canadian Timberframes is searching for an addition to our Production Team. This person will work in our manufacturing facility on our pre-fabricated timber frame components, wall system framing, finishing, and packaging our timber products.

The primary accountability of this position is to use the sawmill to perform routine cutting and trimming of lumber to length for plant projects. Conduct duties in a safe, diligent manner

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY

The primary accountability of this position is for accurate management and operations of the Hundegger K2 CNC joinery cutting machine & Hundegger HMD 625 Planer.  Objectives while operating the equipment are to ensure that the highest quality of timber frame parts are produced from each timber while maximizing machine output and minimizing timber waste.  Additional responsibilities include communications between CNC programmer and Operators, working Knowledge of CNC Tooling, including but not limited to drills, mills, slot cutters, etc. Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators and scales, reading of prints, setup and operate CNC Centers while ensuring the setup will produce the necessary quality throughout the production run and ensuring that setup and cycle times are adhered to, prove out, de-bug and give feedback on CNC programs, Document how jobs are setup, run and checked as thoroughly as possible.

Setup and operate secondary operations when cycle time of your primary machine allows, Setup and operate manual equipment as necessary, changing tooling within the CNC, finished equipment handling for inspection & completion, willing and able to work flexible shifts and changing work schedules, maintain all equipment as necessary including maintenance of the CNC joinery machine and planer, upholding the highest safety standards in the plant ensuring a safe working environment is followed in accordance to the safety procedures / plan.

Have the experience, knowledge & know-how, to take a design from preliminary sketches to final construction documents individually while keeping a project on track, on time. You will be expected to maintain a high level of production while remaining accurate in your drawings & estimates/CO’s. In addition, you will assist in the development of the Architectural Department within Canadian Timberframes.
