Production Team (Timberframe & Wall framing)

Canadian Timberframes is searching for an addition to our Production Team. This person will work in our manufacturing facility on our pre-fabricated timber frame components, wall system framing, finishing, and packaging our timber products.

Timber Frame Carpenter & Wall Framer

The Position: We’re looking for a carpenter to build / frame pre-fabricated components, finish and package timber products and ensure the highest standards of quality control are adhered to every step in the process.

Manufacturing Production Machine Operator Required

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY

The primary accountability of this position is for accurate management and operations of the Hundegger K2 CNC joinery cutting machine & Hundegger HMD 625 Planer.  Objectives while operating the equipment are to ensure that the highest quality of timber frame parts are produced from each timber while maximizing machine output and minimizing timber waste.  Additional responsibilities include communications between CNC programmer and Operators, working Knowledge of CNC Tooling, including but not limited to drills, mills, slot cutters, etc. Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators and scales, reading of prints, setup and operate CNC Centers while ensuring the setup will produce the necessary quality throughout the production run and ensuring that setup and cycle times are adhered to, prove out, de-bug and give feedback on CNC programs, Document how jobs are setup, run and checked as thoroughly as possible.

Setup and operate secondary operations when cycle time of your primary machine allows, Setup and operate manual equipment as necessary, changing tooling within the CNC, finished equipment handling for inspection & completion, willing and able to work flexible shifts and changing work schedules, maintain all equipment as necessary including maintenance of the CNC joinery machine and planer, upholding the highest safety standards in the plant ensuring a safe working environment is followed in accordance to the safety procedures / plan.

The accountability of this position is day-to-day bookkeeping, basic accounting: accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR). Maintenance of excel spreadsheets; creating & managing project admin files. Other accountabilities include tradeshow co-ordination & sales support. General office duties include: reception, answering phones, oversee receiving of materials - related paperwork, ordering office supplies and ensuring that work area is clean, secure and well maintained.

Architectural Designer Required

The Architectural Designer is primarily responsible for ensuring that the Architectural drawings are designed and drafted to meet customer requirements and expectations, as well complying with local and national building codes, monitoring the process along the way to ensure ‘Quality Control’ and the high service standard goals of the company are met in the final project/ product. Have the experience, knowledge & know-how, to take a design from preliminary sketches to final construction documents individually while keeping a project on track, on time. You will be expected to maintain a high level of production while remaining accurate in your drawings & estimates/CO’s. In addition, you will assist in the development of the Architectural Department within Canadian Timberframes.

Logistics, Shipping & Yard Lead

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY

The primary accountability of this position is to schedule and manage all material purchases and incoming deliveries to meet contracted project requirements, meet quality standards, scheduled deadlines, budgeted costs and ultimately customer satisfaction. This position is responsible for logistics co-ordination of shipping, delivery of finished product; again, meeting budget, schedule & customer satisfaction. You are responsible for maintaining yard organization: Inventory professionally stored neat, with labels & managed takes. In addition, the role will occasionally provide support to the sales and design process and assist in product research with new business development projects. Ensures all work performed is done safely. This position reports to the Logistics and Operations Manager.
