Sitka Sound Cruise Terminal

Passengers of cruise ships headed to Sitka, Alaska are now enjoying a brand new 27,000 sq. ft. timber frame terminal. The new facility features six retails shops, and two restaurants, all locally owned.

The timber terminal, manufactured by Canadian Timberframes,  was was shipped to Sitka on a barge from Seattle. The production images highlight the scale of this project - especially notable are the 50 foot glulam beams.

The majority of cruise ships visiting Sitka call at the Old Sitka Dock. The floating dock was constructed by its owners Halibut Point Marine Services in 2012. The dock and terminal facility are located 6 miles north of downtown Sitka.
